As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to go on secondment to our household name clients. And if you want to broaden your horizons, you could even spend time in one of our overseas offices on an international secondment.

On this training contract, you’re likely to complete seats three seats in London and one seat in Guildford, and will also have the opportunity to apply for an international or client secondment. The combination of a wide variety of practice areas, local offices, international and client opportunities means you’ll definitely have the chance to have a broad range of exposure to our whole network.
For this scheme in particular, we’re looking for individuals who are keen to work in a multinational environment – language skills would be really useful.

What makes a good trainee

Being part of a global firm is a given with our Training Contracts. Our process is designed to allow candidates with the commercial understanding to succeed and develop into high quality solicitor.

I have had exposure to both contentious and transactional work during my training contract with my first seat in Specialty Insurance and my second in Real Estate. Highlights so far include participating in two high-value, international arbitration hearings where we acted for the insurers and independently handling small property transactions where I had direct client contact
