We specialise in the sectors that move, build and power our connected world and the insurance that underpins it: namely, transport, infrastructure, energy, trade & commodities and insurance. Our presence in both developed and emerging markets has seen us become one of the fastest growing law firms in the world, with ambitious plans for further growth.

We understand the significance of new technology and innovation, so we're committed to remaining on the front foot as technology develops. We see innovation through two distinct lenses. The first is about meeting the changing needs of our clients through new products, services and insights. The second is about adapting and developing our own ways of working to respond to the changes in our own market.

Our dedicated Innovation Board develops initiatives and products that are focused on optimising the latest technologies like AI and data analytics. Take Clyde Code, for example. It’s a first-of-its-kind hybrid technical-legal consultancy that advises insurers on smart contracts, blockchain and tokens, from creation through to implementation. It was founded by two of our partners and a blockchain consultancy.

It's not just partners that get involved. Our Data Lab extracts value from our data using a mix of data analysis and machine learning tools. It’s run by our lawyers – including trainees – data science and strategy staff, along with students from University College London's world-renowned computer science department. It enables us to be more efficient, accurate and responsive, and to deliver brand new products and services.

In March 2020, we introduced the Datalab as a six-month seat for trainees. The seat offers trainees the opportunity to work at the intersection of law and technology. It will involve working with departments across the firm to identify new projects for the Lab to consider and assisting the Lab in developing products and services.

We’re home to some 4,000 people across more than 50 offices – that includes 1,800 lawyers. All of us share the same commitment to delivering exceptional client service. But we’re also individuals. People from different backgrounds, with different interests and different perspectives. Which we think makes this a very inspiring place to work.

Meet our People

As a trainee, you’ll learn from and work alongside highly skilled experts – people who are renowned for their professionalism and knowledge. At the same time, we have a very open and supportive environment. We want everyone to enjoy working here; to be empowered to be themselves and make the most of their potential. Get ready to be inspired – and to achieve your ambitions.
